Kelly Cory, owner of Keystone Investigative Services, Inc. in California found NITA’s Job Board when looking for continuing education training and reached out to our staff to post her current job openings. Keystone Investigative Services, Inc. is experiencing growth and they needed to hire to meet the needs of the legal industry and wanted to source qualified candidates for specific positions.

We would love to share our recent conversation with Kelly Cory, owner of Keystone Investigative Services, Inc.
Tell us about yourself and your company, Keystone Investigative Services: Kelly has over 20 years of experience as an Investigator. In 2010 she started Keystone Investigative Services, Inc. The company specializes in litigation support and complex investigations. Kelly stated, “our client base is 98% attorneys, and we work primarily in insurance defense and are a one-stop shop for comprehensive litigation support to our clients.” Even though Keystone is based in California, Kelly is proud to service clients, nationally, through trusted subcontractor partnerships she has forged through the years.

What are the largest challenges you currently face today with your job? Kelly stated, “keeping up the with the workload and maintaining the high caliber work product our clients expect” is always a challenge. She also stated that finding highly skilled and qualified candidates for her boutique, expert-level investigative firm can be interesting and challenging at times.
Tell about your experience using NITA’s Job Board. Kelly utilized NITA’s Job Board to advertise her recent job opportunities for her growing investigative firm. Kelly claimed that the Job Board was a “fantastic resource to source qualified industry candidates.” She would immediately receive, in real-time, the candidates’ information and resume and had hundreds of postings to review, which she loved.
What management differentiators have you engaged in to retain talented investigators? Kelly loves creating a “corporate synergy” with her staff. She stated that everyone works together in the same room to produce collaborative and efficient work. Creating a work-life balance, Kelly makes sure to balance the workload with her staff and creates jobs and opportunities that she, herself, would want to do as well. She stated, “respecting and valuing your employees is key” and she strives to treat her employees well.
How was your NITA experience? “Training is the pillar of any professional investigative company,” stated Kelly, and she likes the variety of NITA’s curriculum. “NITA’s topics have in-depth information and are a great resource for us.”
Would you recommend NITA to others? “Yes, and I have recommended NITA others!”
