Job Title: Remote Instructor for Florida Security D Curriculum - DI Instructor
Location: Remote
Position Type: Contract, Part-Time
Overview:
We are seeking dynamic and knowledgeable individuals to join our instructor team. The ideal candidate must be DI license qualified, have a strong background in security, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage students effectively in a virtual learning environment. Classes are offered during the week, evenings, and weekends and we will work with your schedule to assign teaching opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Course Instruction: Deliver engaging and informative online courses covering the required curriculum for Florida Security D license applicants. Course curriculum already established and approved by FDACS.
- Facilitation: Lead live virtual sessions, discussions, and interactive activities to enhance student learning and comprehension.
- Statute and Regulation Knowledge: Thoroughly explain and clarify relevant statutes, regulations, and best practices related to security operations in Florida, to include a full understanding of F.S. 493 and Florida Administrative codes.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students throughout their learning journey, addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Technical Assistance: Assist students in navigating the online learning platform and troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry trends, licensing requirements, and instructional best practices through ongoing training and development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Florida Department of Agriculture License: Hold a valid Class DI instructor license issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture for security training. - Security Experience: Demonstrated experience working in the security industry, preferably in roles requiring a Security D license.
- Instructional Skills: Proven ability to deliver effective and engaging instruction, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of adult learners.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using online learning platforms, video conferencing tools, and other technology required for remote instruction.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate varying student schedules and time zones.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with students and colleagues.
