Businesses based in the United States and Canada that meet these standards and complete all application procedures are eligible for accreditation by the BBB. The Code is built on the BBB Standards for Trust, eight principles that summarize important elements of creating and maintaining trust in business.
For more than 100 years, BBB has helped people find and recommend businesses, brands, and charities they can trust. BBB sets standards for ethical business behavior and monitors compliance.
“In our digital world, it can be difficult to determine whether or not an online school is legitimate or not,” said NITA Executive Vice President Sandra von Eschenbach. “This accreditation further serves to differentiate NITA as a premier provider of online courses for Private Investigators taught by trained instructors.”
