While most newlyweds are celebrating their blissful nuptials, Britneigh has always been focused on accelerating her career. With a deep passion for the field of criminal justice, Britneigh graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with her Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice as well as a criminal profiling certificate.
Britneigh recently added another diploma to her belt upon her completion of the Florida Investigator CC Intern Course through NITA. We had the opportunity to speak with Britneigh regarding her experience with the program and what it means to dive into the world of Private Investigations.
“At the time of my graduation from UCF, I wasn’t even looking for a criminal justice job,” she told NITA in a recent meeting. “My husband is in the medical field and my passion for Private Investigations developed later in my career when I accepted an administrative position with an investigations firm.”
After serving as a liaison between vendors and the agency for which she worked, Britneigh decided it was time to pursue a separate licensure post-bachelorette. After having the opportunity to interact with a variety of PI vendors and partners in a professional setting, Britneigh knew she wanted to learn more for herself.<
“My favorite part of NITA’s program was that it was facilitated online,” she said. “I find this to be especially helpful for those working a full time job or going to school.”
As for the course content, Britneigh said she appreciated the clearly articulated laws and legalities surrounding PI work. She mentioned it was the real-world applications and experienced-based information, though, that she found most valuable during her studies.
“I also loved that the course curriculum was written by experienced investigators in the field,” she added. “It definitely helped me adopt a mindset of a true Private Investigator.”
Britneigh said she would definitely recommend the program to others, especially for people who don’t want to pursue a 2 or 4- year degree.
"You can learn just as much online in 40 hours as you would be able to learn in an intensive, more traditional program," she added.
When she’s not at the beach with her husband or watching movies with her friends, you will find Britneigh's focus fully devoted to her personal career advancement and professional development.
“What you put into it, you’ll definitely get out of it ten fold.”
