Investigative Student Spotlight - Ryan Preston
We are thrilled to introduce to you our latest Student Spotlight, Ryan Preston.
Currently, Ryan is working within the food and restaurant industry and wanted to learn more about the investigations and completed the Florida CC Intern Training course with NITA. His passion is to work with charitable organizations and also assist with missing children’s cases from an investigative perspective.
We took time to catch up with Ryan to discuss his career and online experience at NITA. Here is a highlight of our call:
Tell us about yourself and your career path: Ryan started working at age 16 and has become a “jack of all trades” and trying to learn and master all that he can for his career. After many years in the restaurant industry, Ryan wanted to venture out further and with his passion for investigations, he decided to pursue a career as an investigator. Ryan stated, “there are not enough good people in the right positions” and wanted to make his mark as an investigator.
What else sets you apart from the rest of the crowd? Ryan stated that he has learned, “that you get back what you put into something.” He wants to make sure that he gives his all to his career and passion and loves working with individuals who have the same morals and responsibilities as he does. He has a passion to learn more about the law and how the laws can protect and serve us better.
What are your future career goals? Ryan stated that he loves to fight for justice and has a “passion for the investigative industry.” He wanted to learn more about the legality of surveillance and how to work within the laws within the investigative industry. His ultimate goal is to open his own agency to work with others with his same passion for justice.
You have several options for online training, why did you choose NITA? When researching training options, Ryan found NITA online and wanted the online experience for training for his career.
How was your NITA experience? Ryan stated that he enjoyed his online learning experience and thought that the course was presented well. He especially liked the additional links and resources that were added to the course. This aided in his studying and organization of the training.
