Course Description

In Florida, securing your Private Investigator “CC” Intern license is the first step in launching your career as a Private Investigator. Designed according to F.S. 493, this 40-hour online course educates potential Private Investigators on the legal requirements to obtain a Private Investigator “CC” Intern License.

After giving you an overview of the NITA training platform, this course dives into a review of the Florida Statute 493 and Administrative Code 5N-1, both of which outline the expectations for Investigators in the state. From there, the curriculum offers a summary of the expectations of the professional Intern/Sponsor relationship so that you can know what to expect in your role. At that point, the coursework turns to more specific content on topics that include surveillance ethics and techniques, investigative technology and equipment, evidence handling and protection, courtroom protocols, and the trial-related responsibilities of a Private Investigator.

This comprehensive training, approved by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing, is offered 100% online and 100% on-demand, making it easy to study on your own time and your own schedule.

Course Outcome

Upon passing with a 75% or higher, the student will immediately have access to a printable diploma. If requested this diploma can be mailed to the student. Additionally, NITA will fill out the Certificate of Completion, form FDACS-16062, and mail this to the student.
