Licensing Laws - In Florida, Private Investigators and Private Security Officers must be licensed under licensed Florida Statue 493.
Florida Private Investigator Information
- FL C License – need 2 years of experience and pass the state exam
- FL CC License -Pre-Licensing training for 40 hours is required for licensure
- State Exam - The Florida Private Investigator exam consists of 100 questions and is administered by the FL Department of Agriculture and consumer services.

- Additional Information - NITA holds a FL Department of Education School License #4875. and NITA is an approved provider of private investigator training. Approved Training Provider List

- Florida "D" License - 40 hours of pre-licensing are required for licensure
