Course Description

To begin your career as a Private Detective in the state of Georgia, you need to complete a state-approved pre-licensing course. NITA is a board-approved training provider (CLTR# 001021). This online 70-hour pre-licensing course meets the training requirements outlined in the Georgia Private Detective and Security Agencies Act, giving you a springboard to launch your investigative career.

This course begins with a look at the history of law enforcement and private investigation in Georgia. The curriculum then reviews the ethical considerations of investigative activities as they relate to the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Gramm-Leach-Billey Act. With that background information covered, course modules cover specific topics that include crime scene investigations, investigative interviewing, videography/photography methods, and effective client communication.

100% online and available on-demand, this pre-licensing training program gives you the ability to learn on your own schedule. Day or night, 24/7, NITA is there for you.

Course Completion

All courses include an end of course examination. Students must pass the exam to receive credit for the training. Certificates will be available online immediately for all students.

Are NITA courses Board and State-Approved?

Yes, NITA's courses are state and board-approved by each state's licensing entity in over 35 states.  Board-approved course offerings, where applicable by state, include pre-licensing training and continuing education.

Is NITA’s training completed entirely online, or are there in-person requirements?

NITA's courses are 100% online.  There are no in-person classes or physical attendance requirements. All classes are on-demand, except for our Florida Security trainings and our live, instructor-led trainings, which are online through Zoom. Everything you need to complete your training is available through our online learning platform.
