When can I start any NITA course?

Today! At NITA, all courses are available with immediate enrollment and may be accessed 24/7.

Will staff be available for assistance during my NITA course?

Who developed the curriculum for the NITA courses?

All of our online training content has been developed, modeled, and designed by senior NITA faculty and staff, a team of individuals with more than three decades of combined experience in the investigative industry. At NITA, we believe that teaching investigative theory is woefully inadequate without presenting it within the context of proven, relevant, and real world application and experiences. In addition to being an approved provider of training in the states where we are licensed, NITA also meets Better Business Bureau Accreditation standards with an A+ Rating.

Are NITA courses Board- and State-Approved?

Does NITA offer Financial Aid or discounts on courses?

Unfortunately, NITA does not offer any financial aid at this time. In accordance with state laws, NITA is not permitted to offer incentives or a reduction in tuition costs.

FL State-Specific Questions

Do I need a license to perform PI work in Florida?

All Private Investigators working in Florida must be licensed. The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing, licenses and regulates the PI industry in Florida in accordance with Florida Statute 493, which states:“When applying for a Class “CC” Private Investigator Intern license, the applicant must submit proof of successful completion of a minimum of 40 hours of professional training pertaining to general investigative techniques and Chapter 493, Florida Statutes, offered by a state university or by a school, community college, college, or university under the purview of the Department of Education.”

Is NITA a licensed school in the state of Florida?

Yes, NITA has been awarded an annual license from the Florida Department of Education. NITA’s Annual License number is 4875.

How much does the Florida Investigator “CC” Intern Course cost?

The cost for the course is $450, which includes the 40-hour training, the required test, and a comprehensive review. 

Will I receive a certificate when I graduate from the Florida CC Intern Course?

Yes, upon completing the Florida “CC” Intern course and successfully passing the final examination, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, form 16062 from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. This original document will need to be added to your Florida CC Intern application, and NITA will mail this to you via USPS.

How is the end of course test administered?

At the end of the 40 hour training, NITA’s Florida Investigator “CC” Intern Course will then offer the required testing which follows the guidelines set forth from the Division of Licensing. This test contains True/False and Multiple choice type questions. You do not have to go to a different website or location to take the test.

How much time do I have to complete the course?

The link to the Florida Investigator “CC” Intern Course is active for 180 days.

What happens when I complete the course?

Upon completing the 40 hours of training and passing the end of course test with a 75% or higher, each student will receive in the mail a Certificate of Completion.  This original Certificate of Completion needs to be included with your application for the Investigator “CC” License with the Division of Licensing.

Is the Florida Investigator “CC” Intern Course approved by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services?

Yes, NITA’s Florida Investigator “CC” Intern Course follows the guidelines set forth by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing and teaches the necessary and required investigative skills that are required for an individual to obtain their Private Investigator “CC” Intern License in Florida. Our training meets the State Requirements of Florida Statute 493.6203.Click here for an approved list.

GA State-Specific Questions

Will I receive a certificate when I graduate from the Georgia Basic Training Course?

Yes, upon completing the Georgia Basic Training Course and successfully passing the final examination, you will be able to immediately download an online certificate of completion. This document will contain NITA’s CLTR license number. This document will serve as your proof of training, and you will need to add it to your application when applying for a Private Detective Employee license in Georgia.

Do I need a license to become a Private Investigator in Georgia?

All private detectives working in Georgia need to be registered as an employee of a private detective business, be it as a sole proprietor, as the manager of your own company, or with another agency. It is therefore your employer (or yourself if you are the owner of the business) who registers you with the Secretary of State’s Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies.

Is NITA a board-approved provider of investigative training in the state of Georgia?

Yes, NITA’s Chief Academic Officer Steve Cassell is a Board Approved Training. Steve Cassell’s instructor’s license number is CLTR001021.

How much does it cost to become a Private Investigator in Georgia?

The cost for the state-approved course is $375 which includes the 70 hour training, the required test, and a comprehensive review.

How is the end of course test administered?

At the end of the 70 hour training, NITA’s Georgia Basic PI Training Course will then offer the required testing which follows the guidelines set forth from the Georgia Private Detective and Security Agencies Act. This test contains True/False and Multiple choice type questions. You do not have to go to a different website or location to take the test.

What is the passing score required on the end-of-course test?

To pass, a student must score 75% or higher to pass the course. You make take the test as many times as needed.

How much time do I have to complete the course?

Immediate enrollment is available and the link to the Georgia Basic PI Training Course is active for 90 days after enrollment.

What happens when I complete the course?

Upon completing the 70 hours of training and passing the end-of-course test with a 75% or higher, each student will then have access to an end-of-course diploma. This certificate is available for printing for the student and will be kept on file indefinitely with NITA. If an electronic copy is needed, please contact NITA’s administrative staff at 800-730-NITA (6482).

What is the passing score required on the end-of-course test?

To pass, a student must score 75% or higher to pass the course.  You may take the test as many times as needed.
