Georgia Private Investigators are regulated by the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, Georgia Board of Private Detectives & Security Agencies. In Georgia, any individual who engages in investigative activities needs to be licensed in the state of Georgia. In Georgia, licenses are issued only to companies and the company submits the investigator’s application to the state. Find more info here.
The Georgia Private Investigator exam consists of 80 questions and takes roughly 90 minutes to complete.
Licensed Investigators in Georgia are required to take 16 hours of Continuing Education every two years.
