Course Approval:

NITA is an approved training provider for the 40 hours of training needed in Alabama for your PI Apprentice license. We are an approved training provider from the Alabama Private Investigator Board with a Certified Trainer license # CT004

Course Description

In accordance with Alabama State Rule: 24-25B-12.1, Investigator Apprentice, the apprentice will complete 40 hours of training fundamentals determined by the Board to be qualified for licensure. NITA is a board-approved provider of the 40 hours of training required for your apprentice license and holds a Certified Training License in Alabama, CT004.

After giving you an overview of the NITA training platform, this course will overview of the laws in the State of Alabama that govern all investigators to include the updates to the Alabama Private Investigation Regulatory Act (Section 34-25B-1-54 and Administrative Code 741). The training will then progress into Board-approved topics on ethics, surveillance, report writing, interviewing, communication, technology, and legal and liability issues to enhance your investigative knowledge.

This comprehensive training is offered 100% online and 100% on-demand, making it easy to study on your own time and your own schedule.

Course Outcome

Upon passing with a 75% or higher, the student will successfully pass the required training course. The student will have immediate access to a final certificate of completion that can be downloaded from the student portal

Course Completion

All courses include an end-of-course examination. Students must pass the exam to receive credit for the training.

Is NITA’s training completed entirely online, or are there in-person requirements?

NITA's courses are 100% online.  There are no in-person classes or physical attendance requirements. All classes are on-demand, except for our Florida Security trainings and our live, instructor-led trainings, which are online through Zoom. Everything you need to complete your training is available through our online learning platform.

What do I receive when I complete the course?

Upon successfully completing the course and passing the exam, NITA will issue you a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is typically required as part of your state license application. Details on how your certificate is delivered are included in each course description.
